Payments
I accept payments through Ivy Pay, a HIPPA compliant payment system designed for private practice therapists. You can pay with your credit/debit card, check, or cash. I qualify under most HSA (Health Savings Accounts) and FSA (Flexible Spending Accounts), which may allow you to pay for my services with pre-tax dollars. The easiest way is to use your HSA/FSA debit card.
Insurance
I have decided not to process insurance claims directly, which helps keep my fees lower. Processing insurance claims, and following up takes a considerable amount of time and I prefer to spend that time working directly with clients.
My decision not to accept insurance also enhances client confidentiality. When there is a third-party payer, that company has the ability to request session notes, diagnoses, and limit length of treatment.
I am happy to provide a statement for you to submit to your insurance company in order to be reimbursed for my services as an out of network service provider. Please check with your insurance provider to fully understand your out of network coverage for mental health services, deductibles, limits, and claim procedures.
